On May 6, Klara Lidén’s new exhibition “Bodies of Society” opens at New York’s New Museum. This marks the Swedish artist’s first large-scale American museum exhibit and is part of a series of focus shows that began last year. Lidén’s work consists of unique installations created using discarded materials found on streets across the world. In addition to her installations, the exhibit will also present videos featuring the artist’s impromptu performances on Stockholm subway cars and Manhattan streets. The Aïshti Foundation has contributed to the exhibit by loaning a Lidén piece from its collection to the New Museum.
