Aishti Foundation Wade Guyton piece in Whitney Museum

Aishti Foundation Wade Guyton piece in Whitney Museum

The Aishti Foundation is pleased to announce the participation of one of Aïshti foundation's art pieces in the Whitney Museum of American Art in NYC as part of the Wade Guyton OS show, that runs from October 4, 2012 till January 13, 2013.

The OS show in the Whitney Museum illuminates Wade Guyton's (b.1972) unconventional working methods of word-processing software. The exhibition shows the development of his exceptional techniques and showcases the visual flair and conceptual provocation inherent in his art. The exhibition includes paintings, drawings, photography, and sculpture, and concludes with two spectacular new canvases, stretching up to fifty feet in length, which Guyton created specifically for the Whitney’s Marcel Breuer–designed building. The title, Wade Guyton OS employs the common acronym for a computer’s “Operating System,” linking Guyton’s art to the technologies of our time.
